you must mean,cream of celery soup and the broth with the sour cream etc. otherwise the soup isn’t mentioned as to when to add it for the crock pot

In reply to Dave. You can use either size. I used both, if you want adjust the amount to fit whatever jar you have. We like lots of flavor so we did quite a bit for each jar.

*Next add 1-2 whole cloves of garlic to each jar, 1 teaspoon mustard, 1 teaspoon horseradish to each jar on top of the brine.
You don’t say if this is for quart or pint jars.

In reply to JV. You could swap with honey for a sugar alternative to make it a bit healthier if you wanted. I think it needs some sugar to help enhance the sweetness of the berries but if you try let me know how it goes.

Great recipe! I may have gotten carried away with meat, but I used a pound of hot sausage and burger, and I also added in a pack of cream cheese. It’s smoking away on my Green Mountain smoker. It’s sizzling and smelling amazing. Thanks for the recipe and Happy Independence Day!!

Can this be made without the cup of sugar to make strawberry milk for kids and still taste good? I was thinking the natural sugars in the strawberries plus the sugar already in milk would give it a sweetened taste.
